Martyred Tongue, 2023

Nails on wood panels, spray painted.

A Mouth, Full of Revolution, 2023

Edible ink on charred Egyptian Flatbread

Displayed in There There Collective’s “Gone Home” group exhibition, The Living Gallery, N.Y.C.

To view the panels coherently, one would have to approach the wood panels with the naked eye and read “martyred” and “tongue” written via nails hammered onto the paired wood panels.

Accompanying the wood panels are pieces of Egyptian Flatbread, two charred symbolizing the sun and a center-piece with the word “revolution” stenciled in Arabic onto the bread.
